Home: Lost in Blackness (part 3 of 9)

Posted by Erin Oakley on

Inspired by Galatians 2:20-21: “I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So the life I now live in the body, I live because of the faithfulness of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not set aside God’s grace, because if righteousness could come through the law, then Christ died for nothing!”  [New English Translation]

She travels aimlessly for many days and many nights, but all she ever sees is the Blackness. As she sees it, the world has emptied itself of all matter, and the only thing she can do is to keep traveling in hopes of finding Something.  She does this for three years. She eventually grows weary from meandering and stops looking. She is so weary from her long journey, that she closes her eyes and rests, and doesn’t wake up until a year thereafter.

Questions to Ponder:  Have you ever experienced a dark time in your life?  What got you through it?
