Values, Mission, Vision, and Critical Targets

Values that Shape Prince of Peace Direction and Decisions

Intimacy ~ with God and with one another

Openness ~ sharing where we are going and how we will get there

Empowerment ~ every Christian is gifted by God and God seeks to use every Christian in ministry

Multiplication ~ we develop disciples at every level and are stewards of God’s gifted people

Community ~ we minister through small groups

Excellence ~ God (and His people) deserve our very best

Based on Acts 2:41-47, a 7-week Bible study based on the same text, the Prince of Peace community outlined the above six aspirational values in a Congregational Gathering on November 11, 1995.

Our Mission

The Mission Jesus gave his disciples is the mission of Prince of Peace:

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And I will be with you always, to the end of the age.   Matthew 28:18-20

Our Vision

A dynamic Christian community
called to creatively CELEBRATE the Love of God;
GATHERING, NURTURING, DISCIPLING and SERVING
All People Transformed
 to live and share
 the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our Critical Targets

bulletSpiritual Growth in Christ 1,000 people in weekly worship by October 31, 2008
bullet Spiritual Outreach with Christ 12,000 critical events by October 31, 2008. A critical event is an opportunity for a PoP member to witness to someone who does not know or understand the saving grace in Christ.
