As part of our outreach effort to the community, Prince of Peace offers weekly English as a Second Language classes to immigrants and other non-native speakers. Classes are provided during the daytime beginning in September and ending in May/June.
Classes are offered Tuesday and Friday mornings from 10 - 11:30am, and Thursday evenings at 7:30pm. Classes follow the Fairfax County Public School's calendar for holidays and inclement weather.
Childcare is provided free-of-charge.
The only fee we collect is $40 per person for books which are used from September through June.
Registration is open the first Tuesday of each month from September to June, from 10am - 11:30am. To register, you can attend our special registration day, download our PDF registration form and bring it to the Prince of Peace Church Office, or you can register online.
Our Inclement Weather Policy
When Fairfax County Schools have a delayed opening or are closed due to weather conditions, ESL classes at Prince of Peace are cancelled. School closings and delays due to weather conditions will be announced on all local radio stations and also on Channel 21 of your television.
If you ever feel uncomfortable driving in inclement weather, please stay home and miss ESL classes that day. We always want you to be safe and not at risk in dangerous driving conditions.
