Welcome to Confirmation at Prince of Peace
What is "Confirmation"? Confirmation is an important part of growth and learning in the Christian faith. The pages on PoP's confirmation portion of the website help give students and their families information about the instructional process and the blessings that come with studying God's Word during this key time in life. We at PoP are certainly glad that we can be partners with parents during this time of faith formation.

Confirmation at PoP
At Prince of Peace we value Confirmation as a “come and see” ministry.
In cooperation with Student Ministry, junior high students complete ten learning modules, taught by one of the pastors or other staff persons, some of which are presented on Sunday mornings during the Christian Education hour, others on Tuesday afternoons from 4:00 - 5:45 p.m.

Students may complete the modules at their own pace. The Rite of Confirmation is celebrated in Fall each year.
Our goals for the confirmation class can be summed up in this way:
The program emphasizes service to the church and community, both as individuals and with families working together. The Acolyte and Crucifer program is a good example of Confirmation students contributing service to the church.
We desire that students (and their families) come away from the confirmation experience with a deeper connection with Jesus. This living relationship with our living Lord is filled both with “head knowledge” and “heart knowledge”; this relationship moves us to live authentically for Christ and to serve others in His name.
